Full details in the video below.

I took inspiration from key films/games:
Der Tiger - 2025
A german tiger tank crew fights through as Germany falls, in a pyschological action thriller.
Fury - 2014
A sherman tank crew battles their way into enemy lines in 1945 as Berlin begins to fall.
The Last Tiger (Battlefield V) - 2018
A German Tiger I tank crew attempt a hopeless last-ditch defense against advancing American forces.
I took key frames/scenes from each of these as a baseline to measure the mood and vibe I was aiming for.

03 - Modelling reference +
Modelling Ref.
This project was mainly held back by a large amount of modeling. Priority was first given to this with the main goal of accuracy and belivability.
Finding references were difficult as the interiors of these tanks are compact however after digging I found a few accurate sources and a full in depth interior showcase of the Tiger 1.
I chose the Tiger due to its iconic look and feel, also combined with more common references than other specific variants.

TECHNICAL BREAKDOWN
04 - Technical breakdown +
A small look into a couple of key elements in the project.
01 — Modelling Timelapse
02 — Previs Camera Movement
The main bulk of this project was getting an accurate Tiger 1 model including correct firing mechanism.
One of the most difficult parts of this project was meeting the technical requirements.
While the brief allowed some flexibility, fitting important moves in the right bpm was challenging and managing to fit the entire loading action and firing sequence in only 120 frames was even harder.

REFLECTIONS
01 — What worked
Creating a detailed interior added a lot of layers to the project. Combined with the lighting it gave me the mood I was aiming for and fit with the concept.
Looking back on Fire at Will: what worked, what I would do differently, and what I am taking into the next project.
02 — What I would change
Fitting the full loading and firing sequence into 120 frames at 120 bpm left very little room. Next time I would lock the timing in previs earlier, so the key beats land on the music before detailing begins.
Although the detail inside was great, most was lost on the quick movement, halving the camera moves would have allowed the rich interior to flourish better.
03 — Taking forward
Lock in the movement early, spend more time of the actual movement principles rather than over complicating the environment.
A good plan cannot be overstated.
